Children Abuse under the Name of Religious Freedom
Today, here in Germany, I saw a scene that made me terrified. A Muslim lady, pushing the carriage of her less than 18 months old daughter, which for my extreme horror had a scarf covering her head.
How could a country like Germany (whose streets and public transportation are full of advertisements against children abuse) allow for such an action? An action based on an idea that an 18 months baby girl could be a subject of sexual attraction, and hence her hair should be covered according to the Islamic faith.
Such sexist, misogynistic and abusive behavior is frequently overshadowed by the current tendencies to articulate phrases such as "religious tolerance" and "freedom of worshiping" as absolutes that should not even be discussed on a rational and humanistic basis. I think, the free world should reorder its priority list.

I totally agree with you heqtor. Unfortunately, things that are somehow related to religions and beliefs are considered "highly sensitive" and usually there's no chance for rational arguments.
