Racial Bias Against Indians?

I feel a kind of social preference against Indians and I'm totally ashamed of it. For example, in a party or a social gathering, if I had to choose between an Indian and a white one to talk with, I'd choose the white one (with even background information about them, usually no background!).

I think (optimistically) it might be because I find the accent hard to understand, but I think this shouldn't be a reason. It probably has some other roots in me.
